Mid North Coast NSW
Whether you’re looking for a short break destination or a new place to call home, the Mid North Coast of New South Wales is the perfect backdrop. Anywhere from three and a half to five hours comfortable drive from Sydney, the Mid North Coast encompasses the towns between Seal Rocks and as far north as Woolgoolga. The main towns within the region include Forster and Tuncurry, Taree, Port Macquarie, Nambucca Heads and Coffs Harbour.
The Mid-North Coast region embraces hundreds of kilometers of sandy beaches, picturesque lakes and waterways, beautiful mountain ranges and hinterland. With a temperate climate, the Mid-North Coast is perfect at all times of the year.
The Mid-North Coast is particularly unique for its beautiful vistas towards the ocean as well as the Aboriginal culture and native wildlife. In the Forster and Tuncurry area visitors are particularly interested in the many dolphin and whale watching cruises which depart here.
One of the major towns along the coast is Coffs Harbour, which is home to the popular tourist attraction, The Big Banana. At the Big Banana visitors can have their fill of bananas as well as take a photo with the giant banana, which takes up the front of the restaurant at the Big Banana.
